“The removal of VAT on allowable system loss charges is a major win for consumers and a concrete step toward bringing down the cost of electricity. But this should not be the end of our efforts. The Senate will continue pushing for legislation that will reduce or totally remove the system loss charges passed on to consumers and ensure that they pay only for costs that are reasonable and justified.

Hinihimok ko ang ERC na mahigpit na bantayan ang distribution utilities sa pagpapatupad ng VAT removal sa system loss charge. Dapat direktang marandaman ito ng mga consumer.”
