Senate President Win Gatchalian said that all documents and filings related to the ongoing impeachment trial against Vice President Sara Duterte are being made accessible to the public through the Senate website to ensure transparency in the proceedings.
“Sisiguraduhin natin na lahat ng dokumento at ebidensya ay makikita ng publiko dahil naka-upload na ang mga ito sa Senate website,” Gatchalian said, emphasizing that making pertinent documents available for public scrutiny is a necessary safeguard to protect the Senate’s institutional integrity.
He explained that by maintaining a comprehensive digital repository of the impeachment proceedings, the Senate can ensure that the Filipino people are able to verify the evidence themselves, rather than relying solely on what they see on social media.
“We invite the public to scrutinize, read, and understand the proceedings for themselves. We realize that while we, at the upper chamber, sit as senator-judges, the ultimate judges of this impeachment proceeding are the Filipino people,” he said.
According to the Senate President, he has already instructed the Senate Secretariat to ensure that the necessary resources are available to upload documents and filings as quickly and efficiently as they are introduced during the trial.

Sinabi ni Senate President Win Gatchalian na accessible na sa publiko, sa pamamagitan ng Senate website, ang lahat ng dokumento na may kinalaman sa kasalukuyang impeachment trial laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte para masiguro ang pagiging bukás at malinaw ng proseso.

Binigyang diin din niya na ang pagbibigay ng access sa mga kaugnay na dokumento para masuri ng publiko ay mahalagang hakbang para mapanatili ang integridad ng Senado.
Ipinaliwanag ni Gatchalian na sa pamamagitan ng pagpapanatili ng isang komprehensibong digital repository ng mga proseso ng impeachment, masisiguro ng institusyon na mabeberipika mismo ng mamamayang Pilipino ang mga ebidensya, sa halip na umasa lamang sa mga nakikita nila sa social media.
“Inaanyayahan natin ang publiko na suriin, basahin, at unawain para sa kanilang sarili ang mga proseso. Batid natin na habang kami sa Mataas na Kapulungan ay umuupo bilang mga senator-judge, ang tunay at huling hukom sa impeachment trial na ito ay ang mamamayang Pilipino,” pahayag niya.
Ayon sa Senate President, inatasan na niya ang Senate Secretariat na tiyaking may sapat na resources upang mai-upload ang mga dokumento sa pinakamabilis at pinaka-episyenteng paraan sa sandaling iharap ang mga ito sa paglilitis.
