“The Classroom-Building Acceleration Program Act will institutionalize flexible mechanisms to empower the Department of Education to accelerate classroom construction. By increasing the participation of other stakeholders such as the LGUs, civil society organizations, NGOs, and the private sector, we can make more gains in addressing the classroom shortage, which stood at 147,000 as of July 2025.

Kailangan ang sama-samang pagkilos ng pamahalaan at pribadong sektor.  It is also worth emphasizing that the 2026 national budget complements this measure by allowing the DepEd to engage LGUs and other partners to build classrooms.”
