“Barely days after the school stabbing incident in Cagayan De Oro, we are again confronted with similar tragedies, this time in San Pablo City Science Integrated High School in San Pablo City, Laguna and SIR Elementary School in Davao City. I am reiterating my previous call for the Department of Education to strengthen security measures, which should go hand in hand with the implementation of the School-Based Mental Health Program and anti-bullying policies.

Titiyakin natin ang sapat na suporta ng 2027 national budget sa mga programang ito, lalo na’t kaligtasan at kapakanan ng ating mga mag-aaral ang nakataya. The task of protecting our children from all forms of violence is a formidable one but necessary: we must halt the scourge of violence in our schools.”
