“I am deeply alarmed and concerned that the specter of school violence has once again reared its ugly head—this time in a stabbing incident in Macabalan Elementary School in Cagayan de Oro. I am urging the DepEd and the local government unit to provide assistance to the victim and to ensure that appropriate interventions are given to the child in conflict with the law.

Upang matugunan natin ang mga insidente ng karahasan sa ating mga paaralan, patuloy naman nating susuportahan ang paglalaan ng sapat na pondo para sa School Safety, School-Based Mental Health Program, at sa pagha-hire ng mga school counselor associates. Patuloy nating itutulak ang mga hakbang upang itaguyod ang kaligtasan ng ating mga mag-aaral.”
