“I strongly condemn the killing of retired school teachers Edwin Daquil Galeno and Elsa Bermejo Galeno from the town of Banisila, Cotabato. Hindi natin dapat pinapalagpas ang mga karumal-dumal na krimen sa mga nakatatanda, kabilang ang mga retiradong gurong nagsilbi nang tapat at marangal sa ating bayan.

I urge our law enforcement agents to lose no time in apprehending the perpetrators to ensure they face the full force of the law. I also call on the local government unit concerned to extend all possible assistance to the bereaved family. Taos-puso akong nakikiramay sa naulilang pamilya at komunidad ng mga biktima.”
