“I strongly condemn the actions of certain oil companies that have imposed sharp and disproportionate increases in retail fuel prices. An independent player, for instance, has jacked up diesel prices to as high as P105 per liter and gasoline to P90 per liter barely a week after hostilities erupted.

Ito ay garapalang taas-presyo na nagpapahirap sa mga tsuper, manggagawa, at ordinaryong mamamayan na araw-araw nang nakikipaglaban sa mataas na gastusin.

I call on the DOE to conduct a comprehensive investigation to determine whether these increases truly reflect the actual cost of the fuel inventories currently held by oil companies.”
