Gatchalian hails admin’s commitment to education reforms, learning recovery

Senator Win Gatchalian hailed the administration’s commitment to implement landmark laws and reforms to spur learning recovery and address the country’s education crisis.

In his fourth State of the Nation Address, President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., referred to laws that Gatchalian authored and sponsored. These include the Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Program Act, the Basic Education Mental Health and Well-Being Promotion Act, and the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) System Act.

The President identified steps to implement these laws, including the continuous rollout of tutoring and remedial programs, the increase of school counselors to be deployed in public schools, and the construction of child development centers (CDCs) in centerless barangays.

The lawmaker also vowed to ensure that these programs will have adequate resources and support to ensure that they are fully and effectively implemented.
