Valenzuela City solon offers free medical screening

The office of Valenzuela City Congressman Sherwin “Win” Gatchalian conducted a massive free medical screening at Valenzuela City Astrodome in Barangay Dalandanan last August 6 for his constituents to know if they are suffering from any medical condition so that it can be prevented from getting worse.

According to Gatchalian, the screening program is part of the efforts of Valenzuela City government to safeguard his constituents from disease and disorder as diagnosis of one’s illness serves as the first step in preventing it.

A total of 596 patients were accommodated and being attended by six doctors, three medical volunteers, and 10 WIN Action Center staff from 8 a.m. to 12 noon for bone and foot screening. Some availed of the free fasting blood sugar or FBS and cholesterol level tests, while some others had their breast and prostate examined to know if they are suffering from cancer.

Once the results are released, patients suffering from any health condition will be provided medical assistance by Gatchalian’s office. Those who need to be confined would be recommended to Valenzuela City First District partner hospitals.

As of July 30, Gatchalian’s office refer their beneficiaries to a total of 14 hospitals, including:
