An award-winning public servant has invited ‘senior citizens’ Mabitac, Siniloan, Famy, and Sta. Maria towns in Laguna to visit Valenzuela City to experience the benefits being afforded to grandfathers and grandmothers in North Manila city last September 1.
Valenzuela City Congressman Win Gatchalian said he has always advocated the welfare of senior citizens that is why he came up with projects that takes care of their health when he assumed office as mayor from 2004 to 2013.
Gatchalian, who also pursued the empowerment of local government units during his term as mayor, led the inauguration of ‘Senior Citizens’ Center’ in Mabitac and Famy together with Vice President Jojo Binay.
In his speech, the returning lawmaker in the House of Representatives, Gatchalian expressed deep gratitude to the local government officials in four Laguna towns for inviting him to visit their wonderful place.
During their visit, Binay even donated P500,000 each to the municipalities of Siniloan and Sta. Maria to start building their own senior citizens’ centers.
