Baptism is one of the important sacraments that members of the Catholic Church honor in their lifetime.

This is why Valenzuela City’s Lawang Bato Barangay Chairman Romy Acuña organized a free baptism event last July 28, 2013.

Over 120 babies and children were baptized during the baptism ceremony held at St. Joseph the Worker Quasi-Parish in San Baraquiel Punturin.

A simple reception was also held in the residence of Artemio Pacheco, the treasurer of the barangay, after the mass baptism.

Valenzuela City Congressman Win Gatchalian, Alay-Buhay party-list Congressman Wes Gatchalian and incumbent Valenzuela City Mayor Rex Gatchalian welcomed the newly baptized children to the Christian world.

The Gatchalian brothers also extended their warm congratulations to the proud parents of the new Catholic Church members.
