QUEZON CITY, Philippines – The Senate and Congress hold its Bicameral Conference Committee Meeting to tackle disagreeing provisions of the Free Higher Education for All Act at the Speaker Villar Hall in House of Representatives, 29 May 2017. Senator Win Gatchalian (standing right), who first filed a bill that seeks to abolish tuition fees in all state colleges and universities (SUCs) in 2015 when he was Valenzuela City congressman, signed the consolidated version along with his co-authors of Senate Bill 1304, as well as their counterparts on House Bill 5633. The Philippine Rise is the new name of Benham Rise upon President Rodrigo Duterte’s order recently. PASAY CITY, Philippines – The Senate of the Philippines opens a multi-media exhibit showcasing the rich marine ecosystem of Philippine Rise, 29 May 2017, at the second floor hallway. Spearheaded by the Office of Senator Cynthia Villar, the exhibit features curated materials provided by Oceana Philippines, an international non government organization focused on addressing conservation and development issues of the world’s oceans.
